When an Edinburgh New Town resident approached me asking to build them a full height, full width bookcase for their flat, I couldn’t say no. After a lengthy design process I started work on assembling the carcasses in my workshop before transferring to site. The cupboards had to hold several large format books and files whilst the shelving had to be adjustable to accommodate the vast range of books they had accumulated. They also requested a series of double sockets along the base and a shelf for the printer which could slide out. A very complicated job, but one that complimented the room well once it was finished.
